DAY 01: AIRPORT WAIKKAL 

Arrival to Colombo International Airport.
Meet and welcome  guide at the airport arrival lobby.

Visit Dambulla Golden Rock Temple
Dambulla rock temple was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most
impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the
largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of
the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters.

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA POLONNARUWA 
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Sigiriya and visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
Explore the island’s most popular historical tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the ruins of the ancient capital,
Sigiriya. It is the pride of Sri Lanka and often referred by many as the ‘Eighth wonder of the world’. A visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress
not only reveals ruins & frescoes but vestiges of one of the greatest planned cities in Asia.
Proceed to Polonnaruwa.
Enjoy a city tour in Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and
which is a world heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya where 4 splendid statues of the
Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock could be seen, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, the
statue of king Parakramabahu, and the Parakrama Samudraya - a lake built by King Parakramabahu the great. There are also
monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha, the Kiri Vehera and
the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic.

DAY 04: CULTURAL TRIANGLE MATALE KANDY

Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Here, clients could see different
spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness a Cookery demonstration during the explanations, enjoy a cup
of spice tea & learn how to use different spices in the day-to-day life. A free massage is on offer during the visit.
Continue to Kandy
Visit Kandy city which was the last capital of Sri Lanka and a World Heritage site. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last
Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a
lapidary.
Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which stands majestically as a symbol of culture, faith and history in the Buddhist believe.

DAY 05: KANDY NUWARA ELIYA

Visit Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort because of its invigorating mountain climate and Scenery. It is at an altitude of
1868 m (6128 feet) and is considered to be the most important location for the tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by
Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights), also known as 'Little' England', was the favourite hill
station of the British who tried to create Nuwara Eliya into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill
club, with its strict formal dinner attire; the 18 whole golf course, race course etc., all remind you of 'England'

DAY 07: YALA GALLE BEACH STAY

Visit the majestic fort that stood since 16th Century which has been named an Archeological Reserve by UNESCO. Galle was once
the chief port of Ceylon. It is still well known for hand-made lace. You can visit the Galle Fort (spanning 90 acres) which was
originally built by the Portuguese. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting
Portuguese, Dutch and British rule.

Colombo like many capital cities in developing countries is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, Skyscrapers arise from where
old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and
several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for bargain, few catholic
churches, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike
Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Independence Square, Nelum Pokuna theater, Town Hall / Victoria park, Old
Parliament and the Galle Face Greens. The city stretches in a narrow strip of 12Km along the ocean shore which accommodates about
+0.5 million residents.
